1. What counts as a "successful hire"?
A successful hire is when a candidate from our shortlist receives and accepts your offer. For Split Payment plans, the second instalment is due once that hire is confirmed. If nobody from the first shortlist is right, we keep sourcing until you hire. You do not pay the second instalment for a hire that never happens.
2. How do U.S. companies actually pay a Serbian contractor?
You pay Kaymack for the sourcing service, not the contractor’s salary. Manual job posts are paid by card. Managed services (Give me 5!) are invoiced in USD via international bank transfer. Once you hire, you pay your contractor directly, usually through Wise or Payoneer, which takes about five minutes a month to set up.
3. Is hiring a contractor in Serbia legal and low-risk for my company?
Yes, when the relationship is set up as a contractor arrangement rather than employment. Serbian professionals work through an established freelance economy, so there is no payroll, no employer taxes, and no visa paperwork on your side. You sign a service agreement, collect a W-8BEN form, and pay monthly invoices. We cover the structure in detail in our free hiring guide and on the call. 4. What happens if none of the 5 candidates are right?
Every Give me 5! plan includes a 90-day guarantee on the batch. The 90 days starts once you’ve signed the service agreement and paid the upfront invoice. If you do not hire anyone from your 5 finalists within that window, we run a full new round and deliver 5 fresh candidates at no extra cost. The guarantee is about making sure you get a batch you can hire from.
5. How long until I see candidates?
You get 5 ranked finalists within one to two weeks of the discovery call. Manual job posts go live and start reaching our network the same day.
6. Why Serbia instead of other lower-cost markets?
Serbia gives you strong English, a European work culture built on deadlines and direct communication, and 3 to 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern hours. It is not the cheapest market, but it is one of the lowest-friction ones for U.S. teams. Most companies that hire here came after a rough experience somewhere cheaper, and they stay because the work holds up.
